Nestled in the verdant hills of Orvieto (Umbria), the Locanda della Quercia Calante is a delightful fourteenth century farm house, attentively renovated using modern architectural techniques whilst retaining its traditional charm.

Designed and built to satisfy those who want to regain energy and wellbeing, our environmentally-friendly holiday farm uses solar energy for all of its guests' needs, including an advanced climate control system and comfortable rooms clear of magnetic fields, so as to ensure that a relaxing and authentic holistic vacation is provided.

Our rooms are decorated in the typical Umbrian style: terracotta floors, wooden ceiling beams and stone walls, while furnishings include a creative combination of classic and ethnic influences to grace every room with charm and elegance.

A beautiful green park surrounds the structure, replete with a large variety of flowering plants and ancient trees. The park includes our one-of-a-kind spring water pool: volcanic rocks hug its three organically shaped sections, which are set on different levels and connected by a system of rocky waterfalls. With its energizing properties and a large whirlpool bath in the middle, this is truly a place where guests can find wellbeing.

The Locanda della Quercia Calante offers plenty of space for excercise and meditation, with a yoga deck and a large gym overlooking the park.

Our restaurant serves local cuisine with only the finest natural ingredients. The indoor restaurant offers seating in front of a beautiful hearth in the dining room, while the enchanting outdoor arbour preserves the typical farm house atmosphere.

The cuisine is typical of Umbria and Tuscany, based on genuine daily products, which are fresh and naturally grown on the Locanda della Quercia Calante farm. The wine list is also carefully inspired by natural principles: quality wines from vineyards that maintain local tradition.
